Hyden Farm goes for Gold

Added on 06 December 2012

Hyden Farm has notched more success for their award-winning meat and poultry. They achieved three awards in the National Great Taste Awards, winning three Golds. Their Smoke Aylesbury Duck Breast won 1 Gold Star, their Oxford Sandy and Black Pork 1gold Star, and their Longhorn Fillet of Beef - 2 Gold Stars. The owners of the farm in Clanfield, Beth and Richard Jones are especially delighted to have won these awards at a time when they are leaving the Organic Registration Body.

Beth said: 'These awards are hugely reassuring for us and our customers.

Although we are not officially organic now, we have not changed our farming ethos or method and continue to put animal welfare and environmental responsibility at the forefront of what we do, as we have for the last 27 years here! We hope these awards reinforce the quality of what we do, even without the gold plating of 'organic'!!!'
