The festival cavalcade gets things going and is the chance for festival-goers to taste some of the first watercress of the season. The cavalcade starts at 10.30am outside the Globe public house and proceeds up Broad Street.
Enjoy great entertainment on the Main Stage in Broad Street, in St John's Church and on the streets all day long.
Watch award winning chefs and food writers, including Jane Devonshire (BBC Masterchef Champion 2016), Andy MacKenzie (Exclusive Chef's Academy), Tyrone Hull (Hampshire Confectioner) and Phil Yeoman (Head Chef at Marwell Hotel) and Davina Tibbetts in the Cookery Demo Unit in Broad Street as they demonstrate their skills and mouth-watering recipes.
Take part, or cheer on, those in the World Watercress Eating Championships at 3pm by the Cookery Demo Unit.
There will be a market with over 50 local food and drink producers in Broad Street.
In West Street, you will find Festival Market stall including arts, crafts and more.
There is a dedicated Kids Zone in East Street including Punch & Judy shows on the hour between 11am and 2pm (shows last approx 30 minutes), circus skills, juggling, magician, petting farm, falconry displays and baby changing facilities.
In addition explore all the local traditional independent shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants.
The Festival Information Centre is based outside the Community Centre.
