Powder Monkey Brewing Co. is inviting the local community to celebrate its fifth birthday with its biggest event yet, a free day of craft beer, live music, street food and family entertainment at its Gosport Taphouse on Saturday 11th July.

Since opening its doors five years ago, Powder Monkey has grown from a local brewery inspired by Gosport’s rich naval history into one of the South Coast’s best-known independent breweries. While the business has expanded in recent years, the team says this milestone is all about returning to where it all began and celebrating alongside the people who have supported the brewery from day one.

Visitors can enjoy the launch of an exclusive birthday beer, alongside a full day of entertainment including live performances from local bands Vint-Age and Blink Daze, mouth-watering barbecue from Sheehan’s Smokehouse, family activities on the green, face painting and games, and even the chance to try their hand at cornhole with the Solent Cornhole Club.

The celebration is free to attend, with everyone welcome. With England kicking off later that evening, visitors are encouraged to make a day of it at Powder Monkey before picking up some takeaway beers for the match. Cans and bottles will be available from the Taphouse, or can be ordered in advance for home delivery via Powder Monkey Brewing Co.’s website. While the team will be cheering on the Three Lions from afar, they look forward to welcoming supporters back to the Taphouse for the semi-finals and final should England progress.
