Summerdown

We are the Peppermint People. We grow, harvest and distil our signature Black Mitcham peppermint on our regenerative farm in Hampshire. Its refined, distinctive taste and scent inspires our wonderfully refreshing range of chocolates, teas and body, bath and home fragrance treats.

The intense wave of mint that hits you when you open a box of Summerdown transports you straight to the fields on our farm, a peppermint playground for peacocks, bees and butterflies. Black Mitcham is an extraordinary peppermint prized for its pure, bright character, a taste and fragrance all but lost to England until we brought some back from America over three decades ago and began cultivating it ourselves. We now grow around 70 acres of Black Mitcham, transforming it into our peppermint oil, so that mint-lovers everywhere can share its unique qualities.

Visitors can also experience the farm first hand by joining a tour or event, hosting a workshop or corporate away day difference in our Pavilion, or staying in one of our shepherd’s huts or booking the entire Meadow for twelve guests.
