The 2026 growing season may be coming to an end, however, now is the time to look ahead to next year and put your garden at an advantage with flowering for spring and summer.

Biennials and perennial plants benefit from being planted in late August and early September, to establish whilst the soil is still warm from the summer and settle in before the winter comes.

This August bank holiday weekend, Heckfield Home Farm will be open every day from 9am to 1pm, for you to pick up a wide range of plants with special offers to get ahead of your planting for 2027 includinh the likes of hollyhocks, foxgloves, delphiniums, flowering shrubs, and poppies – all to get in the ground now.

The kiosk will be serving coffee and tea, and there will also be milk, eggs, and cheese for sale.

Opening times: 9am to 1pm on Saturday 29th, Sunday 30th, and Monday 31st August.
