Summerdown Farm Tours 2026

Summerdown have been growing, harvesting and distilling their very own Black Mitcham peppermint for almost three decades, all from the family farm in the Hampshire countryside. Throughout June, July and August the farm team get busy harvesting and distilling over 300 acres of beautifully fragranced Camomile, Peppermint and Lavender herbs. 

During the tours you’ll experience the process of how Summerdown produce the finest English essential oils from the crops grown in the fields. It will be a real treat for your senses as you meander through the fields, visit the on-site distillery, and listen to the Master of Mint, Ian Margetts as he talks through the journey of the herbs. 

You’ll be guided onto farm tracks, fields and along the hedgerows, finishing with an opportunity to taste some Summerdown treats, made from the famous Black Mitcham peppermint.

• 7 July – Peppermint tour 2-4pm
