Working outside is good for the planet, the local community and your soul!
If you’re passionate about community, sustainability and organic produce, and if you love to work outdoors, then here’s a great volunteering opportunity for you!
Hampshire Market Garden is a not-for-profit social enterprise committed to demonstrating that healthy soil can protect our future. From food security to climate resilience, they demonstrate that caring for what lies beneath our feet is the key to a sustainable future.
They do this by growing organic veg with a focus on soil health, educating communities on how important it is, and collaborting with farmers, organisations, and policymakers to drive change and promote sustainable land stewardship.

They also donate healthy organic food to local pantries, food projects, night shelters and more.
Together Hampshire Market Garden and its volunteers have formed a thriving local food movement – using sustainable, chemical-free growing practices to produce fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers for the local community.
As a volunteer, you’d work alongside experienced growers, gaining hands-on experience in everything from sowing seeds and weeding to harvesting and composting.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, they would love to work with you.
Your time and energy directly supports Hampshire Market Garden’s mission: to reconnect people with where their food comes from and to promote a more sustainable way of living.
