Hampshire Fare supports future talent through University of Southampton partnership
Hampshire Fare has highlighted the positive outcomes of its collaboration with the University of Southampton Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise team and its Student Innovation Project Programme, alongside the appointment of a fully funded graduate intern.
Two student teams worked with Hampshire Fare through the programme, generating distinct ideas for growth, including potential new revenue streams and strategies to enhance visibility. Although both groups worked from the same brief, their differing recommendations were considered particularly valuable, bringing fresh perspectives to the organisation.
“The students were fantastic to work with,” said Natasha Dochniak, Commercial Manager at Hampshire Fare. “Their professionalism and insight really stood out, and they’ve given us ideas we can genuinely take forward.”
Building on this work, Hampshire Fare appointed Julia Saboya, a University of Southampton master’s graduate, as a fully funded intern. Her role forms part of a wider effort to support graduates into employment, particularly in addressing the experience gap that many young people face.
In her early weeks, she has already contributed to live projects and participated in meetings and events, quickly building confidence in a professional environment.
“It’s been incredible to see her develop so quickly,” said Dochniak. “She’s gaining meaningful, real-world experience that will stand her in good stead for the future.”
The partnership also underscores the value of such programmes for not-for-profit organisations, providing access to fresh thinking and additional capacity while supporting emerging talent.
