The team at Hampshire Fare is as passionate about local food and drink as our members – and we love to display at, or just visit these festivals and fayres where we can bring people together around a shared passion for local food and drink. South Downs Food Festival, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June
The South Downs Food Festival at Stansted Park near Rowland’s Castle is back for two days of culinary inspiration this June.
Taking place in the stunning grounds of Stansted Park on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June, this year’s event promises a vibrant weekend of top-quality food, drink and entertainment with an exciting new line-up of chefs, producers and activities.
Championing the very best of food in season, from asparagus and strawberries, to ChalkStream trout and wild venison – this is your chance to meet and sample some of Hampshire’s finest local food and drink from an incredible line-up of our very own Hampshire Fare members.
Looking for inspiration? Why not visit one of the incredible culinary stages including our very own Hampshire Fare Cookery Theatre where some of the county’s top chefs and passionate producers will be sharing inspirational recipes, tasty tips, and mouth-watering demos. This includes our very own local Masterchef: The Professionals 2023 winner and head chef at The Avenue at Lainston House, Tom Hamblet.

Marwell Zoo Food Festival, Father’s Day, Sunday 15 June
The Marwell Summer Food Festival 2025 is taking place on Father’s Day, Sunday 15 June! The Hampshire Fare team will be there, along with more than 25 stalls featuring our amazing local producers showcasing everything from delicious shortbread and honey to local wine and cheese.
It’s the perfect day out for Dad and all your animal-loving foodie family.


The food festival is included in the zoo admission ticket which you can get at a reduced price if you book in advance. If you’re an annual member then you can come along for free.
Take the time to stop in at the new Marwell cafe, The Keeper’s Kitchen!

Fizz Fest 2025, Sunday 29 June
This year the iconic Vineyards of Hampshire event, Fizz Fest, is being hosted at the Raimes Wine Barn and Vineyard at Alresford. Taking place on 29 June 2025, during English Wine Week, it will be officially launched by food and drink expert, writer and broadcaster Andy Clarke.
Fizz Fest is a celebration of our premium Hampshire wine producers who range from small family-owned vineyards, to prestigious large operations.


Over 20 premium sparkling and still Hampshire wines from eight vineyards will be available for tasting in the Fizz Fest marquee. This is your chance to sample new vintages and talk to the people at the heart of the wines.

Later stroll over to the Fizz Bar, buy a glass or share a chilled bottle over some delicious street food. Sit back and relax on hay bales and deck chairs to some chilled live music and DJ sets with the stunning Raimes vineyards as the backdrop.
You can also take part in one of the newly themed masterclasses or tour the vineyard – and of course to shop for your favourite wines to take home.

The free Hampshire Food Fare at Dummer Down Farm, Sunday 13 July
Hampshire Fare and Dummer Down Brewery are hosting a food, drink and craft market with live music at their brewery at Dummer Down Farm near Basingstoke.
Over 30 food and drink stalls and plenty of street food – so make sure you come hungry and thirsty! There will also be music from Maud’s Dog and local folk players.
The event will be held on Sunday 13 July between 10am and 4 pm.
There’s a fully equipped bar and good parking and access. No need to book, just come on down!

New Forest & Hampshire County Show, 29, 30 and 31 July

The New Forest Show is one of the largest and most prestigious agricultural events in the UK, a unique and immersive experience that celebrates the best of the county’s rural life.
It’s got livestock competitions, equestrian events, fun forest activities, craft vendors, educational exhibits, and entertaining performances.
And for the foodie, it’s a day out that’s not to be missed!
More than 40 stands selling a selection of food and drink from across the world will fill the Festival of Food this year. From beer to biscuits and bakers to cider makers, from Mediterranean to Asian delights – come along and try the most amazing local produce.



The Show’s local produce market features Hampshire Fare members, and top chefs host masterclass demonstrations. Then there’s three beer tents including a Beer Festival in the Commoners Drift and a special peaceful picnic area hosted by the Forestry Commission so bring a picnic blanket and you can eat the delights you’ve bought right there and then.

The New Forest Food Festival, 16, 17 and 18 August 2025
The New Forest is a premier foodie destination with the most amazing local larder, and the New Forest Food Festival is a celebration of this local produce, artisan foodies and makers, internationally-renowned chefs and restaurants, unique skills and intricate crafts, all showcasing the best of the New Forest.
Held at Hinton Admiral in the New Forest on the 16, 17 and 18 August, an event for all the family, including the four-legged ones.



There’s an eclectic mix of pop-up food stalls, artisan food markets, cookery demonstrations, craft bars, cocktail bars, craft demonstrations, craft stalls, live music and children’s entertainment.
Adult pre-booked tickets are £8 per day or £14 for two days (plus booking fee) Tickets are available up to Saturday 9th August. Adult tickets are £10 per day thereafter. Kid’s tickets are Free (under 16’s).

Sizzlefest, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September 2025
Sizzlefest is the south’s biggest barbecue festival, now in its fifth year!
This is a celebration of all things barbecue, beers and live entertainment – hosted by Hampshire Fare member, Socal BBQ Shop and Instagram channel, @sizzle-show.
It’s an outdoor event at the Socal BBQ Shop at Millbrook in Southampton, bringing the fire food community together with leading outdoor cooking brands for fun-packed days of demos, tastings, competitions, shows and live music.

Alresford Show, Saturday 6 September 2025
The Alresford Agricultural Show is a one-day celebration of rural life around this Georgian town, local produce, amazing producers and local communities.
Held at the stunning Tichborne Park, by kind permission of the Tichborne Estate and Grange Farm Partnership, the park is transformed from cattle grazing land into the showground by a dedicated team of volunteers.
There are prize-winning animals, equestrian competitions and modern and vintage machinery. You can even enter your dog in the dog show.
Best of all though for us is an array of shopping opportunities, many with a local food and drink vibe.

The Romsey Show, Saturday 13 September 2025
The Romsey Show is a country event for all the family, with a fun-packed line-up of competitions, displays and entertainment – it’s also a great day out for the foodie!
The Hampshire Fare Cookery Theatre takes centre stage in the foodie offering, showcasing the region’s top chefs and producers and hosting cooking demos, tastings, and tips to inspire home cooks. Its also where we share stories about our producers and their local produce.
The food court is packed with Hampshire Fare members offering everything from freshly baked treats and gourmet cheeses to Hampshire honey and handmade chocolates. There’s also an array of food to try – from street food specialities to goodies straight off the barbecue.
The sun is bound to shine – this is Hampshire after all! When it does the drinks offering includes a range of locally brewes ales and ciders, sparkling wine and speciality gins.
